Leah Agren, LCSW joins Bingham Area Health Center

BINGHAM—The staff at Bingham Area Health Center is pleased to announce that Leah Agren, clinical social worker will be joining the practice this spring. Leah has worked in school, home and outpatient settings since completing the University of Maine at Orono Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2013. She also obtained her undergraduate social work degree at UMO.

Leah brings experience in outpatient, community and residential social work with children, families and adults.

“I am excited to serve the people of central Maine in an environment where a variety of needs can be met simultaneously and to help eliminate barriers to receiving quality mental health care,” Leah recently shared. 

Leah will be joining Jason Caudell, FNP and Diane Zavotsky, MD who offer medical care to residents of Bingham, Caratunk, Embden, Moscow, Pleasant Ridge, Solon, The Forks, West Forks and surrounding areas. She will assist patients of the practice with issues that may arise during the life cycle such as coping with a chronic condition or new diagnosis, depression, substance use disorder or parenting challenges.

Bingham Area Health Center is part of HealthReach Community Health Centers, a group of eleven Federally Qualified Health Centers in Central and Western Maine. Dedicated providers deliver high quality medical and behavioral health care to citizens in over 80 rural communities. To ensure access to everyone, HealthReach accepts Medicare, MaineCare and major insurances. In addition, an Affordable Care Program is available to uninsured and underinsured residents as well as assistance with applications for programs that help with the cost of health care and medications including the Health Insurance Marketplace.

A private non-profit with a 45-year history, HealthReach is funded by patient fees, grants and by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $4,580,070 with 82.5 percent financed with non-governmental sources.
